Meet the Artist

Ann Owen is an Australian watercolour artist based in Darwin, creating original artworks inspired by wildlife, landscape and the environments of northern Australia.

Influenced by a childhood in Papua New Guinea and years spent travelling through the outback and tropical regions, her work reflects close observation of place, movement and character. Working primarily in watercolour, Ann embraces a loose yet considered approach, creating one-of-a-kind pieces for collectors who value individuality and craftsmanship.

Living with Ann's Art

I commissioned two paintings from Ann — a Tuscan-style house and a portrait of our four pet rabbits. Both needed to be colour perfect and full of personality, and Ann delivered beautifully. We're proud to display them in our home.

Ann’s artwork is beautiful. Her detailed depictions of Australian flowers, birds, and bushland are a joy to own. I’m lucky to have two pieces I absolutely love — and I’m very tempted to add more.

We’re lucky to own several of Ann’s paintings. They’re constantly admired by visitors, yet it’s the daily pleasure of living with her work that we treasure most. Ann’s talent is exceptional, and we feel privileged to enjoy it in our home.
