Meet the Artist

Ann Owen is an Australian watercolour artist based in Darwin, creating expressive artworks inspired by wildlife, landscape and a strong sense of place.

Influenced by a childhood in Papua New Guinea and years spent travelling through Australia’s outback and tropical regions, Ann’s work reflects close observation of the natural world. Native birds, bushland and familiar environments are recurring subjects, painted with movement, character and atmosphere.

Working primarily in watercolour, Ann embraces a loose yet considered approach, allowing the medium to retain energy while maintaining intention and structure. Each artwork is a one-of-a-kind original, created for collectors who value individuality, craftsmanship and connection to place.
