Through the Gum Trees
Eucalypts are commonly known as gum trees and are an iconic Australian tree. Colours of the bark change depending on the species and the location. Eucalypts shed a layer of bark each year, revealing a smooth new bark, often brightly coloured which gradually weathers and fades in colour.
This piece is painted in a loose style pen & wash watercolours embellished with charcoal.
